Kaitoke Regional Park

Kaitoke is a large campground next to Pakuratahi River and is open 365 days a year. No booking is required but you can stay up to 40 days within a 12 month period or 14 days in the period between December 20th and January 31st. Pay and register by filling in an envelope and receipt card provided at the information kiosk. Display this card on vehicle or tent, and place fees in the secure drop box. Permits are checked daily. Fees can also be paid by Eftpos directly to the Park Ranger. Note that Credit cards are not accepted.
There are 2 facility buildings with basic kitchen facilities including treated drinking water, sinks, covered seating, power sockets. Electric BBQs are provided on site. You can also bring your own portable gas BBQ for cooking. Coal BBQs are not allowed. Toilet facilities are available at each facility building and Farm Creek.
The Park Ranger’s permission is required before lighting fires and you must bring your own firewood.
There are four powered sites across from the Ranger’s Office for campervans and caravans. Campervans and caravans are also welcome to park anywhere in the designated camping area. There is no dumping station at Kaitoke.
Gates open 6am until dusk. Dogs welcome.
